My first job out of college was a disaster. Eventually, they fired me. How do I address being fired from my last job in an interview situation?

Being fired is always a drag, whether you loved or hated the job, whether you knew or didn't know it was coming.  I would definitely recommend talking through the scenario of your firing with someone you trust.  Find the narrative that gives you a chance to be honest about the experience while also keeping a keen eye on what is necessary to share.

I always want to start a new situation with honesty and a clear path forward.  Work towards that.

Best of luck!

If asked about the situation the I recommend being transparent about it and showing where you are today with regards to the situation.  The question will most likely be as to why you were fired, was it performance related, behavior related, etc. etc.  Understanding how you'll answer that and being able to address how you've grown or changed from the situation will be a good way to address this piece on your resume.
