Hello! Larger companies are moving away from checking references for various reasons. With that being said, I think a letter of recommendation is a good idea. It gives the recruiter and/or hiring manager a chance to see what your former colleagues/managers have to say about your abilities. Along with your resume and cover letter, it’s nice to see that you already have put the effort into getting professional references. One or two letters would be great to include in your application. Otherwise, a company will ask specifically if they need professional references. Good luck!
