This is a good question, but extremely important. Your college major in some industries is very important for it is the job qualification for entry-level jobs. As an example, we are a chemical manufacture, therefore, majority of our jobs require Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees. In the qualifications section of job descriptions, companies will list what degrees required or preferred. If you have a math degree you should research into what positions would be good fit for that degree as well as companies who look for that specific qualification. No, degree is worthless, but you usually pick your degree based upon your interest now and for the future. I encourage you to look around for there are positions who leave degrees as open.
