Gaining the initial attention from a company can be difficult, which is why you should sculpt your resume toward each position and company to which you apply. Each position and company has a different mission, culture and business strategy. Taking the extra time to research a company to learn more about its goals and core values and incorporating those themes into your resume or cover letter can go a long way.

Skills, Education, and Experience. Also, an objective of some sort may be important but you must make sure that it is relevant to the position you are applying for.

The most important topics to include on a resume if you are a student looking for internships or entry-level positions would be Education, Experiences, and skills. You want to make sure that your resume is tailored to the position you are applying for and shows that you are the best candidate for the job. You can highlight skills or experiences that are relevant and show you have the background for the position. Most importantly, make sure you include your contact information!

Most important things to include in one's resume would have to be: Education, List of skills (transferable skills and ones that relate to that specific job), and Experience (Past jobs, Internships, and volunteer opportunities) to name a few. And just remember your resume is an advertisement for you so make it unique and stand out (in a professional way) and showcase why that employer should hire you!
