Hello – If both of the positions are within the same function and are related to your degree and past experience, it will be less confusing to the interviewer. If you have already interviewed for one role but are no longer interested, I would reach out to the recruiter to let them know you are interested in another role you applied to. It is best to be honest with the recruiter about the position you are most interested in. Recruiters want to hire candidates for positions they are truly interested in and if you are no longer interested in the position you are interviewing for, I would let them know. If you speak with the recruiter and are still interested in the position and receive an offer, you may have the opportunity to transition roles after a few years.
